My name is Zoe. I was born July 11, 2006 at 4:05 PM, 7 weeks early. That makes me a "preemie". I weighed 2 pounds 8 ounces and was 15 inches long.
I am lucky, I have two mommies. My mom is named
Lori and my mama, Vera. I was born early because my mom developed pregnancy
induced eclampsia. It was so stressful on both her and
me that I was delivered by emergency C-Section. I lived in the NICU (Newborn Intensive Care Unit) until I was 7 weeks old
at the hospital.
My name means "life" in Greek and in French. My mommies picked that name
after I was born to remind us of how blessed the three of us are to be a family!
I earned my nick-name “Feisty” from the nurses in
the NICU. Even though it was there to help me breathe easier, I hated
the nasal cannula so much that I pulled it off my face, alot. I hated my feeding tube too. So I kept pulling it out of my nose.
(I was really uncomfortable).
This web page details my life week by week. Click the links below to view pictures. Please be patient if this page is not
updated as often as you would like, my mommies spend most of their time with
me now that I am home.
